Basically, all dust extractors are tasked with thoroughly and carefully extracting the fine dust/filing dust generated in the nail salon.

The models differ primarily in the performance of the respective device. The number in the name of the dust extractors also indicates whether they have one or two motors. Thus, the "Taifun I Premium GreenTech" has one motor, while two motors are installed in the "Taifun II Premium GreenTech." The decisive advantage of two motors is that the noise level is significantly lower in relation to the high suction power.

Which Nova Flair dust extractor is most suitable depends in particular on your individual customer volume.

If the budget allows, the "Taifun 2 Premium GreenTech" is generally always recommended, because the noise level is significantly lower in relation to the high suction power due to the two motors.

If you work with acrylic and thus use a synthetic odor filter mat on your filter, we recommend the more powerful devices for 5 or more customers. These are more powerful and quieter, so they work even more efficiently and quietly when using an odor filter mat.

The following rule of thumb can be helpful when choosing a dust extractor:

To reliably find out if it fits, you can take the dimensions from the product description of the respective dust extractor and compare them with your nail table.

Important:
The tabletop must not be "hollow" on the inside, as the extracted air can otherwise be drawn into the cavity of the tabletop and the screws will not hold. We are particularly aware of this problem with IKEA tabletops. We therefore recommend using a solid wood tabletop.

1. Unplug the power cord
2. Loosen the black knurled screws on the front and remove the front panel
3. Pull out the filter and the dust collection tray underneath at the same time
4. Carefully vacuum the dust side of the filter between the lamellae using a crevice nozzle attachment
5. Clean the dust collection tray and disinfect it with an alcohol-free solution if necessary
6. Insert the dust collection tray and filter correctly (note the label on the filter)
7. Screw the front panel back on tightly

You can find the video instructions for cleaning your dust extractor for all dust extractors from 2023 onwards via a QR code on the side of the device.

If there is a QR code on the side of your dust extractor, you can scan it to find the operating manual and many other documents in a wide variety of languages.

Please note that according to our safety instructions, no changes may be made to the devices, as this will void the warranty. Repairs may only be carried out by us or by an authorized specialist after our approval. Work by external service providers must always be documented.

If a defect occurs, please contact us directly.

Important note:
Breaking the potentiometer shaft is not covered by the warranty. This damage usually occurs due to improper handling, such as getting caught on items of clothing or accidental knocks with the knee or leg. A metal potentiometer shaft cannot break during normal use, such as turning the knob.

Cleaning at the following intervals is strongly recommended:

Volume per day:

2-3 customers (low) ~ 1x per week

4-7 customers (normal) ~ 1-2x per week

7+ customers (high) ~ 2x per week

As the filter capacity is increasingly exhausted, air resistance increases, which makes your dust extractor louder. This is an indication that the filters need to be cleaned.

Regular replacement with original Nova Flair products maintains the 15-year warranty. Your dust extractor will thank you with maximum filter performance and power.

Changing the filter at the following intervals is strongly recommended:

The black synthetic activated carbon filter mat (odor filter mat) is attached to the filter and serves to absorb and neutralize unpleasant and intense odors. In addition to the odor-neutralizing effect, it also prevents possible allergic reactions.

So if you work with acrylic, liquids, adhesives, or gels, we strongly recommend using the synthetic odor filter mat.

You only need the white filter fleece mats if you have a Taifun dust extractor built between 2009 and 2012. All newer devices no longer require them.
