The patented piezo-ceramic disc (ultrasound generator) in the brush head generates the ultrasound and transmits it with up to 96 million air oscillations per minute directly into the emmi^®-dent ultrasonic toothpastes enriched with micro-bubbles. The ultrasonic waves destroy the structure of the micro-bubbles, creating a suction effect that removes biofilm and plaque. This thoroughly cleans your teeth and protects your gums without brushing. Noticeably smooth teeth are the result. Bacteria are reduced, and your mouth stays fresh longer after cleaning.

How to use an ultrasonic toothbrush?

The new way of teeth cleaning works without scrubbing or pressure. The brush head is simply guided lightly over the teeth. Please use our special ultrasonic toothpaste with the emmi®-dent brush. The unique formula creates the necessary micro-bubbles that remove dirt and plaque. One tube of 75 milliliters is sufficient for approximately six weeks.

Depending on the tooth shape, the brush head reaches two to three teeth. After about 6 seconds on the teeth, move the ultrasonic toothbrush to the next teeth. Repeat this until all teeth are clean. A tooth cleaning takes approx. 3 minutes. Afterwards, simply wipe away all loosened dirt starting from the gums and rinse your mouth as usual. For heavy plaque and large interdental spaces, we recommend initially cleaning your interdental spaces with emmi^®-dent aids such as dental floss, interdental brushes, and mouthwashes.

What is the difference between an ultrasonic toothbrush and a sonic toothbrush?

Electric toothbrushes come in various designs. Some clean by the rotation of the usually round brush head, others generate vibrations that set the bristles of rather elongated brush heads in motion and thus rub dirt off the tooth. This usually happens with 20,000 to 30,000 oscillations per minute. The emmi®-dent ultrasonic toothbrush surpasses both by far: the emmi®-dent works with up to 96 million oscillations per minute and does not use vibrations, but rather ultrasonic waves.

With the ultrasonic toothbrush, you therefore do not remove plaque mechanically, i.e., by abrasion, but by the imploding bubbles in the toothpaste. A mile-wide difference in effect and effectiveness. You will feel the difference!

How often do I need to change the brush heads?

The ultrasonic attachments can be used for 3 months and should then be replaced. The bristle structure changes over time due to the ultrasonic waves and no longer transmits the ultrasound 100% after a certain period. For optimal tooth cleaning, remember to change the attachments four times a year.
